Becky Bowen—believes beauty is all around us.  She currently is illustrating a native history book about plants and wildlife in Mendocino County.  She has a Certificate of Illustration from Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles and was a student for several years of Jeff O’Connell.   She was a professional calligrapher and owned a hand-made greeting card company for ten years.  She is a member of a portrait artist group that paints in Don Koubek’s Mendocino studio and has drawn with the Mendocino Figure Drawing Collective since 2003.  Her work has been shown at the Mendocino Art Center and the Scharffenberger Winery Art Gallery.
