statement
Figure drawing is the spontaneous dance between artist and model. To me this is a thrilling experience that requires intense focus, playful letting go and joyous creativity. Being "alive in the moment" gives it emotion, movement and variety. My figure work has evolved from years of classical charcoal drawing, oil painting and watercolor. My greatest influences have been Walt Disney (as a child) and later Picasso, Henri Matisse, and old master's Sumie. I feel grateful for a lifetime dedicated to Art.
