statement

I started drawing as a young child and have drawn all my life.
My first commercial venture was in 1941 for the Des Moines Register the night after Pearl Harbor.
Since I retired, in 1994, I have had much more time to devote to my art.
I have shown my work at the Mendocino Art Center in Mendocino, CA, the Gualala Art Center in Gualala, CA, the Sanchez Art Center in Pacifica, CA, the Scharffenberger Cellers Tasting Room in Philo, CA, the Greenwood Pier Cafe in Elk, CA, the North Coast Artist's Co-op and the Fort Bragg Grill in Fort Bragg, CA.
I have taken classes from Bob Ross, Bill Martin, Walt Millan, and Nancy Collins.
